2017 GHANA NATIONAL CONVENTION LAUNCHEDAdmin
The 2017 National Convention has successfully been launched and hopefully awaiting a better, bigger and greater Convention starting on September 21st – 23rd.
It was a delightful atmosphere featuring the crème-de-la-crème of the Fellowship and captains of industry. The launched was gracefully honoured by Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta, the Honourable Minister of Finance, who launched the Convention with profound verse of Ezekiel 33:6 “But if the watchman sees the enemy coming and doesn’t sound the alarm to warn the people, he is responsible for their captivity. They will die in their sins, but I will hold the watchman responsible for their deaths” calling members of the Fellowship to be responsible for the growth and progression of Ghana.
The Main Speaker at the launch dinner was Mr. Daniel Asiedu, Managing Director of Agricultural Development Bank (ADB). His inspiration-filled testimony had audience squirming in their chairs as they became witnesses to the invisible hand of God at work in his life.
The launch was also used as a platform to raise funds for the Convention. Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee steered the fundraising.
Also present were Dr. George Prah, National President, Justice Alex Poku Acheampong, Judicial Secretary, Hon. Elizabeth Sackey, Deputy Regional Minister, Greater Accra, and Justice Samuel Marful-Sau, Appeals Court Judge. Others were Mr. Willie Orhin, Regional Vice President, Anglophone West Africa and Cape Verde, Dr. Tony Sarpong, Convention Planning Committee Chairman, Mr. Frank Nelson Nwokolo, Board Member, Ghana Football Association.
Over the years the National Convention has been a platform for outreaching to the entire nation with various outreach programmes and activities targeted at various stakeholders in the marketplace. This year’s convention, however, weighs mightier bearing a salient mandate as espoused over the last two years of our strategic plan of growing the Fellowship 7 by 4 in membership and chapters respectively, underneath which is the core foundation of our Fellowship; Reach Men in all Nations for Jesus Christ.
For the remainder of the period to the main convention, activities have been lined up to engage stakeholders, outlining the roles and responsibilities of each member. Regional launches are expected to take place within same period.
